Venison Stew With Prunes And Red Wine

I was flying with a captain the other day and he gave me this amazing recipe. I tried it today and it turned out absolutely beautifull, and as every other slowcooker recipe, it’s extemely easy to make.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300g diced Venison
  • 10g plain flour
  • 150g Prumes
  • 250ml red wine
  • 500ml beef stock
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 onions
  • bunch of fresh thyme
  • black Pepper
  • 2 bay leaves

HOW TO

  1. Cover the diced venison in a thin layer of flour and put in the slowcooker together with the rest of the ingredients. Cook the stew on high for the first 2 hours and thereafter on low for a minimum of 4 hours.
  2. That’s basically it, told you it was easy.
  3. Serve with some mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
